Prospective Students

Thank you for your interest in Prime Diagnostic Institute!
Congratulations on your decision to pursue a career in one of the most up and coming medical fields!

Prime Diagnostic Institute is a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that offers three learning concentrations:
  • General Diagnsotic Medical Sonography (Includes Abdomen, Superficial Structures and OB/GYN)
  • Cardiac Sonography
  • Vascular Technology
Your credentials at the time you apply will determine what program(s) you are eligible to consider.  We encourage applicants to apply for and complete all three learning concentrations.  If you are successful and complete certification tests for all three, this would make you a "full bodied" Sonographer and most employable. There are specific requirements and prerequisites to be accepted into each program (learning concentration). The majority of students will start in the Vascular and Cardiac Programs. Besides making you eligible to complete and certification test in one of those disciplines, completing one of these programs will make you eligible to apply to our General Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.  Please see the program "acceptance requirements" below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I apply?
A. The first step is to apply online at our website or call 1-877-PDI-LIUS (1-877-734-5487) and a paper copy can be mailed to you.

Q. Is there an application deadline? Does the school enroll yearly, quarterly?
A. PDI basically has a “rolling” enrollment policy. We start new students approximately every 6 months.

Q. Do I have to meet with an Admissions Representative?
A. Yes, we require all applicants to meet with an admissions representative for an “admissions interview”.  This is viewed as an opportunity for the student to ask detailed questions pertaining to their own personal goals.
