Today’s State of the Art Technology for Tomorrow’s Jobs
Prime Diagnostic Institute teaches with technology that is considered state of the art and in the forefront of the digital imaging field. These capabilities will help shape a new age of healthcare in which disease is detected earlier, diagnosed more precisely and treated less invasively. Ultrasound will be at the heart of this transformation. And so will you!Prime Diagnostic Institute takes great pride in our state of the art, digital scanning lab. Although our didactic curriculum is comprehensive and imperative to learning, it is our scanning lab where students will take an educational journey. Students will begin to learn basic scanning, move forward to intermediate scanning and end as advanced scanners, all while learning the national standard protocols and procedures for each modality studied. This will enable the students to feel comfortable and competent performing full protocols in the field. Our “hand over hand” guided scanning techniques will ensure that our students acquire scanning knowledge and experience that we consider superior. We encourage our students to attend an “Open House” and see for themselves the technology they will be utilizing. We are confident our state of the art technology will give our students a much needed competitive edge in the job market.
Students will find themselves in our scanning lab, feeling like they have just stepped into an actual emergency room. We currently have seven curtained off stations and seven very different ultrasound machines. Our teaching philosophy is to merge the old with the new. Our scanning lab is a full spectrum, state of the art, digital imaging lab. When a student graduates from PDI we are confident that they can be placed in any medical facility, utilizing a vast array of machinery and produce the highest quality scans of patients that may be life saving.
Please begin to familiarize yourself with the state of the art technology that only Prime Diagnostic Institute can offer you.

| The GE LOGIQ S6 is the latest evidence of Prime Diagnostic Institute's commitment to providing our students with state of the art technology. The LOGIQ S6 is an uncompromising system designed to provide high resolution imaging in applications ranging from small parts, musculoskeletal, abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, basic cardiac, stress echo and TEE imaging. The LOGIQ S6 turns up the volume in ultrasound by integrating Volume Ultrasound advancements with 2D optimization technologies taking Prime Diagnostic Institute and our students into a new era of ultrasound. Now, students can acquire and construct volumetric data set instantaneously with 4D transducers, reconstruct volumes from raw data cine loops and manipulate data to view from sagittal, transverse or coronal, as well as oblique planes, to see anatomical relationships never before visualized. | ![]() |
| From cardiac, to vascular and pediatric exams, the GE Vivid 7 is versatile enough to share. Its innovative processing techniques and diverse application tools ensure excellent image quality and enhance diagnostic confidence throughout a broad range of studies. Multiple-angle compound imaging enhances border definition, reduces acoustic artifact and improves contrast resolution, now available in color flow mode, providing consistent image quality for both the 2D and color image. Blood Flow Imaging (BFI) gives a better understanding and delineation of directional blood flow in vessels. IMT measuring technology dramatically reduces the time it takes to measure the carotid artery's intima-media thickness. TEE transducers address perioperative needs for adult and pediatric monitoring. 4D Depth Color Render: Two depth color render maps enhance depth perception in any 4D image. Advanced TSI: Tissue Synchronization Imaging (TSI) provides quantification of LV synchronicity information. Time-to-peak data is derived from the simple-to-use "red light/green light" 9-slice: See regional wall motion in a whole new way by slicing the left ventricle of a 4D full-volume dataset into nine equidistant short-axis views. Real-Time Color Flow Full Volume: Assess hemodynamic information in color, in real time, in the same heart cycle. You also have the option of viewing a 6-slice cross-section of the left ventricle. Cutting-edge AFI: Assessing and quantifying left ventricle wall motion is easy with GE's Automated Function Imaging (AFI) tool, which delivers reproducible, systolic, segmental and global assessments quickly and accurately. New simplified workflow with quick tips and an adaptive ROI provide more robust and reproducible results for the non-expert, improving speed and confidence in understanding LV function. Contrast Imaging: Get enhanced visualization of the LV border for wall-motion analysis and ejection fraction calculations in multi-dimensional and 4D full-volume imaging. Tissue Tracking: Provides easy recognition of regional and global wall left ventricular relaxation motion abnormalities. Strain Rate Imaging: SRI evaluates ischemic heart disease and true analysis of a specific piece of the myocardium. 4D LV Volume: Using the exceptional real-time full volume image quality produced by the Vivid 7 Dimension, the 4D LV volume tailored package from TomTec Imaging Systems can provide a full assessment of the left ventricle, free of geometric assumptions and shape, in less than a minute. These valuable clinical tools are available on both Vivid 7 Dimension and EchoPAC. | ![]() |
